Japan Recommendations Guide (Updated Weekly)
Need help planning your itinerary in Japan?
Wondering what is actually fun, worth your time, and worth your money?
My girlfriend and I live in Japan, and we are constantly going out exploring — from cute date spots and shopping areas to food experiences, sightseeing locations, and hidden gems most tourists never hear about.
This recommendations tab is built to help you create a real, experience-based itinerary.
Inside this section, you will find detailed information on places we personally visit, including:
• Exact directions on how to get there
• Real pricing you should expect to pay
• Honest opinions on whether the experience is worth it
• Tips to make your visit smoother and more enjoyable
Some locations will be popular tourist attractions, while many others will be local hidden gems we discover while living here. Recommendations can include shopping malls, food spots, scenic picture locations, cultural experiences, and even completely free activities — because Japan offers many amazing things to enjoy without spending money.
This is also one of the most frequently updated sections on the website, as we add new places and experiences every week.
Example Recommendation
The Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama is a great experience.
Entry to the museum is ¥500 (about $3–$4 USD), and creating your own custom cup noodle is another ¥500, making the total experience around ¥1,000 (approximately $7 USD).
You can design your own cup, choose custom ingredients, and have it sealed in protective wrapping so you can keep it as a souvenir.
Tip: If you want to actually eat the noodles you make, consider purchasing two — one to keep as a memory and one to take back to your hotel and enjoy.
More detailed recommendations like this will continue to be added to help you plan your time in Japan with confidence.
Please allow up to one week for this recommendations tab to be fully updated and live, as I am currently working through a heavy schedule. Thank you for your patience and support.
